A collaboration with the Center for a Regenerative Future.
Join the Lamont Wind Ensemble for Regeneration, a concert celebrating resilience, renewal, and the power of transformation. Featuring the world premiere of Sean Friar’s Renew, written in honor of the Lamont School of Music’s centennial, this program reflects on challenges overcome and futures reimagined. Michael Markowski’s City Trees offers a tribute to the perseverance of trees surviving in a concrete jungle. The centerpiece of the program is Adam Schoenberg’s Losing Earth, a meditation on climate change and survival which features percussionist Michael Van Wirt. The evening culminates with Julie Giroux’s Let There Be Life from the Blue Marble Symphony.
